What a lovely meditation on walking. I love walking in London! Last October I walked around 36 miles over the days with a good friend and discovered all sorts of places. Closer to home, I walk daily with my next door neighbour and her dog, same route every day and I love seeing things change. Thereβs also a great book on the history of women walking, Women Wanderers I think itβs called.
I was going to recommend this book as well. It's a very easy read. Makes me realise how lucky we are to be able to go out and walk with no social barriers.
Your post reminds me how useful walking is for my creativity, Ana. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this and for walking me through some of London's streets.

Thanks for the recommendation, Lynne. Iβll check it out!
I love walking London too! Itβs such a great city to walk :)
Walking in the rain is surprisingly pleasant. I'd love to have a go at drawing rain.
Have a look at Hiroshigeβs prints! Beautifully depicted rain.
Yes - I was thinking of those, Ana. I will, thanks!
