Everything is here to be happy on earth.
We have snow and every day a new morning.
We have trees and rain, hope and tears.
We have humus and oxygen,
animals and all the colours.
We have distant lands and bicycles.
We have sun and shadow.
We are rich.

After all the rains in February, March brought some sunny, stunning days. On one of those mid-March Saturdays, we went on an adventure with a couple of friends we had recently met - a classic friends-of-a-friend situation that ended up being surprisingly close in very little time.
The amazing thing about Auckland is that is surrounded by marvelous seaside landscapes and protected parks and forests within less than an hour's drive from the city centre. That day we took the car and improvised the visit to three different beaches: Shakespeare National Park, Orewa, and Point Chevalier.
Another incredible thing about Auckland is that, if the weather conditions are favorable, you can get to see all the colours in nature in just a single day.

Blues and Greens

Whites and Violets
Orewa Beach (afternoon)

All the Pinks, Purples, Yellow, and Orange

The world is beautiful - if you just pay a little bit of attention to it.
NZ is the sixth country (including my country home Spain) that I have lived in, and it is just an incredible place. Nature is very much unspoiled, the history of the Pacific tribes and their art and culture is so fascinating, and the sky almost every day is painted with stunning light and colours. There’s almost too much to explore!
Here’s the thing: in reality, there are so many amazing places in the world to experience but, what truly makes the difference, what really makes the experience beautiful is really, really, the people who you share the experience with.
Nothing else, nothing more. And I am extremely grateful not only that I am sharing this experience with my partner (in crime solving) but also that we are little by little connecting with inspiring and generous people here in Auckland.
Excited for what’s still to come!
